I studied journalism at the University of Kentucky and art in Atlanta, GA. I came back to Kentucky to become the first art director at the Kentucky Educational Television network (KET).

After leaving KET, I turned to travel and editorial photography. An early advocate of using the “digital canvas” to create art and to make gicleé prints, I created and hosted a television series that introduced the digital studio and canvas to public television audiences across the country.
